Textual work:

In media, we have completed an Textual analysis on the following clips;

• Doc Martin 
• Buffy the vampire slayer - Homework 12th September. 
• Greek yoghurt advert - Regional Identity Homework.
• The Hustle - Homework. 

What I struggled with on the textual analysis was on the Hustle. The reason I struggled was because I found it difficult to find ways in which the mise-en-scène or sound effects would represent the gender identity in the 5 minute clip. 

The other things I struggle with in Textual work is by creating smaller paragraphs about each clip. I seem to group all the subjects I need to talk about on each scene and don't seem to be able to cut them down into more understandable and readable paragraphs. 

My strengths in this subject is taking notes on the certain topic we need to talk about on how it is represented in the clip. I also have a strength in explaining how the mise-en-scène, camera shots and editing is used to represent the topic.
